Don Cornelius started one of the greatest shows to ever bless television. Soul Train provided an opportunity for black artist to showcase there talents to the whole world during a time when discrimination was still alive and kicking and racism was beginning to fade. Soul Train gave birth to future spin off like Yo MTV Raps and many other shows on BET, and MTV. Soul Train was a living part of history and though it no longer runs on TV its legacy lives on through the thousands of fans, and many artist that got there start at stardom on that very stage. Soul Train was rich in culture and so was its host. Don Cornelius was determined to provide a media outlet that depicted black people in a positive manner. Don Cornelius death may have been traject but his legacy is most uplifting.
